The students and staff have returned from a great winter break service immersion trip to El Paso, Texas. The last photo is a group picture with El Paso Bishop Mark Seitz who is well known. He testified before Congress on behalf of migrants on the southern border and has written a profound pastoral letter on migration that can be read here

Winter Break Update

December 17, 2018

Please pray for our students and staff as they live and serve among our displaced brothers and sisters on the southern border in El Paso, Texas this week. We sent them forth from Detroit Mercy on Saturday, they arrived safely that evening, and have already cooked for 100 people in need of a good meal.

Jesuit tradition in action

Help our students truly experience the Jesuit tradition of recognizing the unconditional and universal human dignity in all creation; fostering community growth in the spirit of solidarity; committing to education and action concerning the issues of poverty and injustice in the region; furthering the personal growth of the participants; and accepting the challenge to understand the past, experience the present and look forward with hope to the future.
